Flap Damper was installed in Multi-Fuel Boiler ESP at Pulp and Paper Plant in Riau, Indonesia.

Problem

Multi-Fuel Boiler (MB) in this plant has been operating since 2005 and using dome valve type for the inlet valve. Due to frequent problems related to dome valve such as worn out rubber seal that damaged the dome, it drove the user to try using a different type of inlet valve. Other information obtained from the user was it did not last long. For example, the dome valve that has just been replaced could only last for two to six months.

Lò hơi vận hành từ năm 2005 và sử dụng van cầu cho hệ thống van đầu vào. Do van cầu thường xuyên bị mòn gioăng cao su, theo như thông tin từ khách hàng, chỉ sử dụng được từ 2 tới 6 tháng, buộc khách hàng phải tìm tới một lựa chọn khác.

Solution

To overcome such problem, Tai & Chyun recommended the user replace the existing dome valve with flap damper type. The benefits of the new flap damper dome valve are air leakage prevention and easier and faster replacement of rubber gaskets during maintenance outage. Flap dampers also have several advantages such as the hand-hole that facilitate the ease of replacing the rubber ring and a longer lifespan.

Để giải quyết vấn đề này, Tai&Chyun đề xuất sử dụng van lật thay cho van cầu hiện tại. Lợi ích của việc sử dụng van lật là tránh xảy ra việc rò khí và thay thế gioăng cao su dễ dàng hơn. Van lật cũng có tuổi thọ dài hơn so với van cầu.

Benefit

After installing the flap damper, Tai & Chun team performed an open and close test to ensure the flap damper was functioning properly. The installation of the first flap damper has lasted more than 12 months till now. This prompted the user to replace the inlet valve in another ESP using the flap damper type.

Sau khi lắp đặt van lật, chuyên gia của Tai&Chyun đã thực hiện một bài kiểm tra đóng-mở van để xem van lật có hoạt động tốt hay không. Sau lắp đặt, van lật đã được sử dụng trong vòng hơn 12 tháng mà khách hàng không phải dừng máy để bảo trì. Điều này cũng thúc đẩy khách hàng đặt tiếp đơn hàng thay thế van cho những lọc bụi khác trong hệ thống.
