Flap Damper vs Dome Valve
Dome Valve is a 90 degrees rotary swing cylinder being opened and shut off by a spherical valve. With its design, it often causes the friction between spherical valve and the rubber seal ring when the gap between spherical valve and the rubber seal ring is covered by a thick dust coating from contacting the rubber seal ring.
As a result, the friction often causes the rubber seal ring to be broken and the spherical valve to be corroded easily. In many cases, the lifetime of the rubber seal ring can even last for only one week to few months.
Flap Damper also applies the same function as being a 90 degrees rotary swing cylinder. However, with the design of the flap damper, the motion of the flap disc allows the dust coating to be released down quickly and it will only contact the rubber seal ring shortly without causing any friction between the flap disc and the rubber seal ring yet. Therefore, it will not break the rubber seal ring (packing) of the flap damper easily.
